Alanah M. Haskin joined the firm in 2022. Alanah graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Michigan State University and received her Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University Law School in 2021.

During her time in law school, Alanah represented individuals through Wayne State University Law School’s Disability Law Clinic and Legal Advocacy for People with Cancer Clinic. Alanah was a member of the clinical team which received the Clinical Legal Education Association Outstanding Clinical Team Award. Alanah wrote workers’ compensation demands and Social Security hearing briefs. During Alanah’s last semester of law school, she was a judicial intern to Judge Arthur J. Tarnow of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Alanah is a trained legal observer through the National Lawyers Guild. Alanah is active in the LGBTQA Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. She was elected treasurer of the Section in 2021 and sits on the Section’s Bylaws Committee. In 2021, Alanah with other LGBTQA Law Section attorneys submitted an amicus brief to the Michigan Supreme Court in the case of Rouch World LLC v. Department of Civil Rights, No. 162482, advocating that Michigan’s Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act protects individuals based on sexual orientation.

Alanah is admitted to practice law in Michigan state courts and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Since joining the firm, Alanah focuses on union-side advocacy and plaintiff-side employment representation.
